Beautiful, dark, deep and intense color that is typical for this grape, turning magenta towards the edges. Also in the nose we mainly discover dark aromas. Blackcurrant, blackberry and dried red fruit. Also hints of tobacco, violet and cocoa emerge after rolling. Nicely ripe and supple character that culminates in a long, firm but pleasant final.

A nice piece of grilled or roasted red meat is never far away with a grape such as Malbec, but you should also try it with finer game such as doe and buck. A pork roulade, lamb chops and for vegetarians a vegetable mix with mushrooms are more than successful pairings.

climate

Located quite southerly between ideal latitudes, Maule Valley is slightly cooler than other major wine regions in Chile. It enjoys slightly more precipitation that falls mainly in winter and many hours of sunshine. It is warm during the day and the temperature drops sharply at night, making it probably the most privileged wine valley in Chile. The general characteristics are comparable to a Mediterranean climate.

soil

The vineyards are located in Maule Valley near Curicó. The Maule River supplies the valley with alluvial sedimentary rocks. The soils are quite varied and consist of granite, red clay, loam and gravel. The soils on the slopes are poorer and with good water management. In the valley itself on the river, the subsoil is richer with higher yields.

vinification

The grapes are picked in the cool of the morning. After careful pressing, the fermentation is started under controlled temperature in stainless steel vats with maceration on the pellets. Later the wine is transferred to oak barrels (from 2nd and 3rd wine). Bottling takes place after a year or so.
